When You Hear The Word Authentic What Comes To Mind?

For most people, it says “genuine” or “real”. But when it comes to us being our authentic selves it’s saying a whole lot more. There are billions of people on this planet and none of us are exactly alike. Identical twins share very similar genes yet distinctly different DNA.

You are a unique design.

The creator of all life formed you from the rib of man.

Genesis 1:21-22 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs” and closed up the place with flesh. Then the Lord made a woman from the rib” he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. We were never created to be anyone else but our authentic selves. We are an original design. There is no one on the planet exactly like us, yet we spend over half of our lives trying to be someone else’s expectation of who we’re supposed to be. You have perfected the art of DID (Dissociative identity disorder) you have been hiding in plain sight. I see you, I hear you,

I was you. Will the real you please stand up and take your rightful place! You are beautiful. You are strong. You are perfect just the way you were designed. You are enough and you have a contribution to make in this world. The world is waiting to hear your voice. How long will you continue to deprive us of the real you? As quiet as it is kept you have a tribe that will accept your horn, thorns, warts, and all. When I was in primary school I got teased about my full lips they called me bubble lips and for many years I believed I was ugly and that something was wrong with me.

This event opened a door to me being anybody else but me and would affect me well into my adult life. But about those lips, when I learned that they were not ugly but voluptuous and powerful! the rest they say was history. A series of events happened in my life that caused me to hide inside the expectations of others constantly judging yourself for not being good enough. At the end of it all, we all want the same things and that is to be loved and accepted for who we really are.

The truth is we always were by the one who created us, in fact, he calls us his beloved. He also gave us access to people who would love and accept us for who we truly are. The catch is we have to be our authentic selves. I did it and so can you.
